Purpose: Displays the forum name and a favorite link.

Forum - Breadcrumbs top |
Purpose: Displays forums breadcrumbs. The bread crumbs are normally at the top of the page and provide users a visual display of their location within the Web site. Each item in the breadcrumbs is a link to that forum page.

Forum - Capture Thread top |
This widget was removed in Telligent Evolution 5.6.
Purpose: Displays the forum capture thread functionality. This page displays when you click the Capture to Wiki link.
This widget is generally only used inside of a dialog box. It isn't recommended to be manually added to pages.

Forum - Email Subscriptions top |
Purpose: Displays a form that allows the user to manage his/her forum subscriptions. The form displays all the forums and the user's subscription status. To change the subscription status, click Yes or No in the Subscribe column.

Forum - Filtered Threads top |
This widget was removed in Telligent Evolution 5.6.
Purpose: Displays a list of threads which you can sort and filter.

Forum - Links top |
In Telligent Evolution 5.6, the Moderate posts link indicated whether there were any posts to moderate, and "Follow this question" was renamed "Add to my discussions."
In Telligent Evolution 5.5, the Manage Subscriptions link began appearing on aggregated landing pages of multiple forums; the Mute/Unmute email notifications option was added for this thread link, and you became able to manage members' link text in jJoinless groups from this widget.
Purpose: Displays a list of functionality links. The available links are based on your privileges and list configuration. You can customize the links widget any way you want. For example, the following screenshot shows a links widget called Admin, which contains some links that may be available to non-administrators, but a number that only administrators can access.

Additional configuration options:
- Start a New Thread - Opens the Create/Edit post form. You must have the Create New Threads privilege.
- Mark All Read - Marks all unread threads in the forum as read.
- Subscription Link - Subscribes to the forum.
- Favorites Thread Link - Displays as Favorite This Thread link. Adds the thread to your favorites list.
- Favorites Link - Displays as the Favorite This Forum link. Adds the forum to the favorite places list.
- Moderate Forum - Accesses the forums moderation section of the Control Panel. You must have Moderate privilege.
- Create New Forum - Accesses the Create New Forum page in the Control Panel. You must have the Create New Threads privilege.
- Change Forum Settings - Accesses the forums administration section of the Control Panel. You must have the Edit Forum Settings privilege.
- Subscribe via RSS - Adds an RSS feed for the forum.
- Capture to Wiki Link - Launches the capture forum to wiki functionality.
- Send to Friend Link - Opens the Start Conversation modal window. You can send a friend a link to the thread.
- Follow Thread Link - Notifies you when users comment on or respond to the forum thread.

Forum List top |
Purpose: Displays the list of forums on the Web site.

Purpose: Displays a Report Abuse form so you can report any inappropriate comments or behavior on the forum.

In Telligent Evolution 5.6, this widget was Renamed to Forum - Display Thread; you could specify how many threads to show per page; the Follow thread link began being displayed, and Admin was given permission to save input.
Purpose: Displays the contents of a forum thread.
You can specify whether or not you want to show inline replies. In the following screen shot, inline replies are enabled.

Forum - Thread Details top |
Purpose: Displays thread details for a forum, including the number of replies, the number of subscribers, and the age of the forum.

This widget displays the existing threads on the forum.

In Telligent Evolution 5.5, the Reply and Post button styles were updated; the Quick Reply user interface was updated with minor placement and formatting changes, and the issue of images not scaling appropriately at 100% width was addressed.
Purpose: Displays the contents of a forum thread.
Popularity criteria for threads is determined on the Popular posts page.

Additional configuration options:
- View Type- Specifies how the posts are viewed.
- Filtered/Paged List - Displays blog post details, such as the blog, author, published date, and post excerpt. (View type shown in the screen shot above.)
- Not Filtered/Not Paged List - Displays no post details.

Purpose: Displays the forum title.

Forums - Browse Forums top

In Telligent Evolution 5.6, clicking the Favorite link stopped causing elements to move back and forth; it began displaying "No results could be found" whenever a search string contained invalid characters; search found special characters; : and ! were entered; issues with application search were addressed; "items to show before scrolling" was changed to "Page size;" it became impossible to t have a page size below 1, and very long strings in widget title were given line breaks.
In Telligent Evolution 5.5, the sorting column began being displayed in boldfaced font; the widget stopped showing the search box if it returned three or fewer results (by default)l this and all other browse or list widgets became allowed for group owners, and all browse widgets began searching against application names as well as group names.
Purpose: Displays a browse control that lists all the forums on the Web site. You can display forums by forum name, post title, and groups. You can navigate to the blog by clicking on the forum title.
Additional configuration options:
- Title - If checked, the forum title displays in the list.
- Group - If checked, the parent group is listed.
- Posts - If checked, the number of posts made to the forum is listed.
- Last Post - If checked, the date of the most recent post for each forum is noted.
- Show Data from Groups and All Subgroups - If checked, displays forums from the site root, groups, and subgroups.
- Default Sort Order- Applies a sorting filter.
- Application Name - Sorts the forums in alphabetical order.
- Posts - Sorts the forums by the greatest number of posts, from most to least.
- Last Post - Sorts the forums by most recent posts, from the blog with the most recent to the oldest.
- Include Current Group's Name in Title - The parent group is included in the title.
- Include Search Box - Includes word-wheel search capability for forums.

Forums - Create/Edit Post top |
In Telligent Evolution 5.6, jQuery was updated to 1.4.2, allowing an issue with the widget to be fixed.
Purpose: Displays the Create/Edit form so you can create or edit a thread. This form displays when the user clicks the Start New Thread link.
Limitations: You must have the Create New Threads privilege.

Additional configuration options:
- Display Forum Link in Title - If checked, the forum title displays as an active link.

Forums - Delete Post top |
Purpose: Displays the forum post delete link.
Limitations: This functionality is a available only with the site-wide widget group and to users with delete privileges. Additionally, this widget will not render properly if placed in a sidebar. It is intended only for the main content areas.

Forums - Post Moderated Information top |
Purpose: Displays a message when posts must be moderated. This widget is already included in the moderateforum.aspx page, which is part of the Telligent Evolution page; however, you can add it to a different page or create a new page that begins with the widget and use developer tools to modify it.
Limitations: You must have moderation privileges to see this message.

Forums - Related Posts top |
This widget was removed in Telligent Evolution 5.6.
Purpose: Displays a list of forum posts whose titles are related to the title of a new post you are creating.

Forums - Thread Links top |
This widget was removed in Telligent Evolution 5.6.
Purpose Displays the next, previous and forum RSS links. This widget is available only in an individual forum context and in the Enter Edit Mode functionality.
