A group is a collection of members, organized by some characteristic (such as function), within your broader Telligent Evolution community. Groups may be created for users with similar interests or organization needs. Groups can also have their own applications (forums, blogs, wikis, and file galleries) to enhance communication and data flow for group members.
Telligent Evolution supports a number of group types. The type determines the joining process for the group or requesting membership (if that is allowed).
The Participating in groups section describes group types, group membership, and common group functionalities that are available to you. Some functionalities described in this section are dependent upon your role within a group. If you have questions about accessibility to any group functionalities, you should contact the group owner or administrator.
This section includes the following articles:
- Group messages - Communicate with group members via the group messaging functionality.
- Groups functionality - Learn about membership status, how to leave a group, group members lists, and using group tags.
- Joining a group - Request membership in a group.
